David Watson, 74, superimposed the heads of Kym Marsh, 37, and Jennie McAlpine, 30, on pictures of naked women before posting them to their homes.

He also wrote vile messages in the letters which left the pair “shocked and sickened”.
Kym’s was opened by her dad. Watson also targeted Natalie Robb, who plays Emmerdale’s Moira Barton.

He is now facing a jail term after admitting two charges of harassing Jennie, who plays Fiz Stape, by sending her indecent images between last October and December.

Watson also pleaded guilty to two charges of sending indecent messages to Kym, who plays Michelle Connor, and Natalie, 39.
Matthew Treece, prosecuting, told Manchester Magistrates’ Court that Watson targeted Kym first.

A handwritten envelope marked “personal” contained a picture that had been edited to include an image of her face on the body of a topless woman. Five days later, her co-star Jennie got a similar letter. Natalie received hers on November 2.

Watson then sent a second letter to Jennie containing the same doctored picture of her along with the message: “I would love to see you like this.”

He had got their addresses via an internet company that supplied them for a fee. Police later contacted the firm he had used to track him down.

On being arrested, Watson said he had sent the pictures out of boredom.
Jennie told the court the letters scared her, adding: “It was degrading.” Kym said she had been left feeling “sick and shocked”.

Watson, of Daventry, Northants, was bailed to appear for sentencing on March 12.
He was warned he could face a jail term.
