FA Cup sixth-round draw: Possible Merseyside derby in store as Everton face winners of Arsenal v Liverpool

FA Cup sixth-round draw

The draw for the sixth round of the FA Cup has thrown up a repeat of last year’s final and a possible Merseyside derby.

Holders Wigan will travel to Manchester City, who ousted Chelsea yesterday, to face the team they beat at Wembley in one of the competition’s biggest ever cup final shocks.

The tie of the round, however, is arguably Everton’s next match. Roberto Martinez’s side, who advanced with a 3-1 win over Swansea today, will face the winners of this afternoon’s clash between Arsenal and Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

There could also be a Sheffield derby, if United can get past Nottingham Forest today and Wednesday past Charlton.

Sunderland, meanwhile, will travel to either Championship side Brighton or fellow Premier League strugglers Hull.

FA CUP SIXTH-ROUND DRAW
