MANCHESTER CITY star Samir Nasri believes their last-16 Champions League
tie with Barcelona is far from over despite slumping to a 2-0 first-leg
defeat at the Etihad Stadium last night.
BELIEF: Nasri feels City can overturn their 2-0 first-leg defeat to Barcelona
After a cagey goalless first-half the game burst into life
following the interval when Martin Demichelis conceded a penalty and was
sent-off.
Lionel Messi gave Barca the lead from the spot, with defender Dani Alves adding a second late on to leave City's chances of reaching the quarter-finals in tatters.
Nasri, who replaced Jesus Navas just before the hour mark, is convinced the tie is not over and City can take belief from their group stage away victory against current holders Bayern Munich ahead of the trip to the Camp Nou.
BATTLE: The City midfielder is ready to battle at the Camp Nou
The Frenchman said: "It is a different game but why not? We went to Munich and we won. We could do the same.
"I think it is not over. It was a close game and then the referee made a mistake.
"It was not a pen, it was a free-kick. We still have a chance and we are going to play the game there without fear and try to score as soon as possible."
The second-leg between the sides will take place on Wednesday March 2.
