But as he gave an emotional speech in front of hundreds of fans as his statue was shown off, supporters made it clear that they want him back working for Arsenal.
‘Sign him up!’ chanted fans as Bergkamp paid tribute to the ‘beautiful club’ and hailed those who supported him during a difficult start to his Arsenal career.
However, with fan backing, it might not be long before we see the Iceman return to north London, with many suggestions that he could one day replace Arsene Wenger as manager.
