Everton’s Republic of Ireland right-back Coleman is the Manchester United manager’s latest target at his former club.
Moyes has so far signed Marouane Fellaini from Goodison, failed to land Leighton Baines and been linked with Ross Barkley.
The Daily Star Sunday can also reveal Moyes is now more confident of beating Chelsea in the battle for Shaw.
The Southampton left-back, 18, is a Chelsea fan and the Londoners were seen as favourites to sign him for £25m.
But there is growing optimism at Old Trafford that he can be persuaded to choose United.
Meanwhile, Moyes must fight to keep wonderkid Adnan Januzaj.
Moneybags Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a £40m raid for the teenage star this summer.
But former United favourite Paul McGrath insists United cannot afford to lose the silky-skilled starlet, who signed a new five-year deal with the club in October.
He said: “If United cannot manage to hold on to an emerging player such as Januzaj they can find themselves in real trouble.
“He’s only 19 and it is clear he has all the talent in the world.
"You do not want to lose that sort of player."
