SIMON JONES has lifted the lid on what sharing a dressing room with Kevin Pietersen is really like.
ASHES HEROES: Simon Jones and Kevin Pietersen inspired England to an Ashes win in 2005
The ex-England paceman - who played a huge role in the 2005 Ashes
win - has been angered by reports of KP's supposed dressing-room
antics.
Jones, who is devastated that Pietersen will never play for England again, says that talk of the genius batsman being a negative influence is rubbish.
And he has claimed:

Rumours have circulated that KP was involved in a heated row with
Cook in Sydney, which ended with the two squaring up and having to be
separated.
Pietersen's wife Jessica has dismissed those on Twitter - and Jones think that's just not the KP style.
He exclusively told Starsport: "When I heard the news about KP I was totally shocked.
"I've played with him for many years. I've known him since the 2003 academy days and he's not the guy people portray him to be.

"I don't think he would have squared up to Cook - I just can't
see that happening. He's too professional to do something like that.
"These rumours are coming out and they've got no substance to them. It's all second and third hand. Not one person has heard it from the horse's mouth.
"KP loves playing for England and doing his best for the team.
"During the Ashes in 2005, we were the only two single guys in the team. The rest of them had partners or were married with kids.
Pietersen consoles Jones after the paceman twisted his knee in India in 2006
"We spent a lot of time together. We shared a dressing room in
one of the most high profile series there has ever been - and he was
brilliant.
"He had a good vibe about him. He would be one of the guys who would go around checking people to see if they were alright - I can't see him changing now."
But as Ashes tensions mounted - and England's misery deepened Down Under - Pietersen became isolated.
The 33-year-old, who will go down as one of the game's greats, was sent to field on the boundary by Cook.
It was a decision that shocked Jones.
He said: "When you've got a man of Kevin's experience, you want him chatting to the bowlers and conferring over ideas.

"To see someone of his ilk doing fine leg and third man is hurtful.
"Kev is an outstanding fielder. You want him in the circle."
Asked if it was the fault of Cook, Jones replied: "Well it's him who sets the field."
The Welshman, who played 18 Tests for England before his career was blighted with injury, has now demanded answers from the ECB.
He added: "I wish the ECB had given a reason in their statement. People have been left confused and angry.
"We'll never see Kev in an England shirt again and the man is a genius. People are hurting.
"They need need to give a reason why. That would help the situation massively. They are leaving people in the dark by not doing anything."

And he has claimed:
- NO-ONE in the England camp looked out for their team-mates more than KP
- Captain Alastair Cook ISOLATED Pietersen in the ill-fated tour Down Under
- The ECB should now give the FULL story as to exactly why he's been axed
