Would you breastfeed a puppy to save its life?

 

A woman was forced to breastfeed her dying puppy in order to ‘save his life’.
The Colorada resident, who has decided to remain anonymous, felt the orphaned puppy had only an hour to live after refusing to feed from a bottle.


‘He wasn’t moving and I just did it,’ she told news station KRDO-TV when explaining her decision to breastfeed the animal.

‘I didn’t know what else to do, I was desperate and I just couldn’t bear sitting there watching it die.’
The woman confessed she felt ‘weird’ about the whole thing, but still posted a picture on her Facebook account.

She said the puppy was the smallest of a litter that had been taken in by her, after their mother died. Some people praised the woman for the lengths she was willing to go to save the puppy’s life – but others were not so sympathetic.

The woman also has a one-year-old child.
