WEST HAM showed all the fight they will need to stay in the Premier League, but Chelsea will be wondering why they still haven't signed a striker after this stalemate.

Oscar created the first chance of the match as his curling drive from inside the Hammers' box needed to be tipped onto the bar by Adrian.


But West Ham were giving as good as they got, with Andy Carroll looking sharp and holding the ball up well.

Adrian kept John Terry's header out with his legs as Chelsea started to get more of a hold of the game.
Eto'o was the next to test the Hammers keeper, but once again he was more than a match for what Chelsea could throw at him.

Chelsea swarmed all over he Hammers but were struggling to find a way through.
But it was the West Ham fans who were struggling to fathom how Andy Carroll managed to miss a golden opportunity after Petr Cech parried Stewart Downing's cross into the striker's path.

Eden Hazard's strike flew a foot wide of Ardian's goal as the hosts started to get nervy.
Frank Lampard, Demba Ba and Hazard all had chances but they simply couldn't break through as West Ham claimed a pricelesss point and Chelsea dropped two massive ones.
