Court Declares Ashaolu As Authentic ANTP President

The Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) leadership tussle between Victor Ashaolu and Dele Odule was finally settled in court today, Thursday, January 30, 2014.


Comrade Ashaolu was declared as the authentic and the duly elected President of the association by a Federal High Court in Ibadan, Oyo State.

ANTP had been without a leader for a long time, but Jide Kosoko, whose tenure ended some years ago, has been regarded as the standing-leader of the association due to the leadership tussle between Victor and Odule.

Ruling today, Justice Bolaji Yussuf stated that the defence of Dele Odule was lacking in merit and therefore dismissed it.
