Andy Murray rattled off an incredible 23 points in a row to finish off his Australian Open second-round match against Vincent Millot, after appearing to get fired up by his opponent’s over-zealous celebrations.

Murray’s staggering run of unanswered points came after he trailed 5-1 in the third set. French qualifier Millot had lost the first two sets but found his form in the third, producing some stunning winners as well as
some enthusiastic fist pumping that did not go down too well with the Wimbledon champion.
After saving a set point, Murray raised his game to another level as he stormed back to win six games in a row, throwing in a few fist pumps of his own to make a point to the man on the other side of the net.

‘Millot played unbelievably in that third set, hitting winners from the baseline,’ said Murray, after his 6-2, 6-2, 7-5 victory which finished on the stroke of midnight. ‘I had to adjust the way I was playing, and he’s ranked 270 in the world. It just showed the depth in men’s tennis.’
Murray now faces Spain’s Feliciano Lopez in the third round at Melbourne Park.
