A man suffering from an aggressive form of cancer is writing life advice for his daughter on napkins in case he never gets to see her grow up.
Garth Callaghan, 44, has been diagnosed with cancer three times in the past two years and has just an eight per cent chance of surviving the next five years.
If he isn’t around when his daughter Emma is older, the devoted dad has taken to leaving life advice for her – in the form of inspiring quotes written on napkins.
The idea is something of a tradition in the Callaghan family. When Emma was younger, Garth worked in a busy sales job and didn’t see her very often, so he would write notes to her on napkins and put them in her lunchbox for school.
Garth told Metro: ’Today, I am NED – No Evidence of Disease. I still likely have cancer, but we can’t see it. That’s the irony. I am actually ok, and I feel well.’
