LIVERPOOL have confirmed defender Tiago Ilori has joined La Liga side Granada on loan until the end of the season.

Liverpool, Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge, Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, Brendan RodgersLiverpool starlet Tiago Ilori has been sent out on loan

Revealing the news on their website, the club confirmed the 20-year-old would spend the remainder of the 2013/14 campaign with the Spanish outfit, who currently sit tenth in the Spanish top flight's table.

A statement read: "The 20-year-old centre-back will spend the remainder of the current campaign with the La Liga side.

"Ilori joined the Reds on transfer deadline day last September, sealing a switch to Anfield from Portuguese giants Sporting CP.
"The Reds' No.26 has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club, but has been named on the substitutes' bench three times and featured for the U21s."

Brendan Rodgers revealed he planned to send Ilori out on loan earlier in the month, to help him get more first team experience under his belt.

He explained: "It's something that we'll look to do, certainly with young Tiago. He has come in and he now knows what Liverpool is about and the standards.
"It has been difficult for him in terms of game time because he hasn't played.
"As a defender, he needs to be playing. He'd certainly be someone that we'd look to get on loan."
