SNAPPED: Chelsea star Juan Mata dons Manchester United shirt for first time!

JUAN MATA is set to become Manchester United's record signing within the next 48 hours.

Juan Mata, Manchester UnitedKITTED OUT: How Juan Mata would look like as a Manchester United player

And here he is pictured in a Manchester United shirt!
The Starsport artists have looked into their crystal balls to conjure up what Mata would look like in his new United strip.

The deal is expected to go through by the end of the week, with Mata in line to undergo a medical today.
United will pay the Blues a club-record fee of £37m to sign the Spaniard.
DAVID MOYES FAITH: David Moyes has confidence that Juan Mata can turn United's fortunes around

It eclipses the £30m they paid for Dimitar Berbatov back in 2008.
Mata will be offered a four-and-a-half year deal worth £150,000-a-week at Old Trafford.

While David Moyes has a wealth of midfield options, they are still way short of the quality of their Prem rivals.

Marouane Fellaini has struggled with injuries, Tom Cleverley is still learning and Moyes hasn't been able to get Shinji Kagawa firing.

Mata - Chelsea's player of the year in the last two seasons - is a world-class addition but there are still questions of how Moyes plans to fit him into the United system.

United are 14 points behind leaders Arsenal and they crashed out the FA Cup at the hands of Swansea.
And it got worse for Moyes last night with a Capital One Cup semi-final defeat to Sunderland on penalties.
